He met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and later with Prime Minister Péter Magyar. Suzuki Motor Corporation has had a robust presence in Hungary since 1991 when it set up a local subsidiary. The Esztergom manufacturing plant, operational since 1992, stands as a key pillar in Hungary’s automotive industry. It not only supports thousands of jobs but also significantly contributes to the country’s export economy.
In a subsequent meeting with Prime Minister Péter Magyar, Toshihiro Suzuki discussed potential future investments and development plans in Hungary. The conversations also touched on the global automotive industry’s ongoing evolution, particularly the shift towards electric mobility. Magyar acknowledged Suzuki as one of Hungary’s most dependable foreign investors over the last thirty years.
