At the IFA 2026 event in Berlin, EarFun, a prominent player in the wireless audio market, unveiled its latest flagship product, the Wave Pro X over-ear headphones. This new offering by EarFun is equipped with advanced dual-driver audio technology, hybrid active noise cancellation, AI-based processing, and an impressive battery life. The Wave Pro X highlights EarFun’s commitment to superior audio experiences, featuring its DCAA acoustic architecture that incorporates two independently tuned dynamic drivers and high-purity voice coils. This design aims to deliver an expansive soundstage without compromising audio detail across varying frequency ranges.
To tackle ambient noise efficiently, the Wave Pro X employs an eight-microphone array that works in conjunction with real-time processing. This sophisticated Hybrid ANC system dynamically adjusts to the surrounding environment, ensuring that external noises are minimized, allowing users to enjoy their music or audio content without distraction. The headphones are also engineered for long-lasting performance, boasting up to 90 hours of playback time on a single charge, with 50 hours available when active noise cancellation is in use. A rapid 15-minute charge can add an additional 10 hours of playback, making it highly convenient for users on the go.
Designed with user comfort in mind, the Wave Pro X features a collapsible design and memory-foam earcups suitable for prolonged use. In terms of connectivity, it supports Bluetooth multipoint, enabling seamless switching between devices, and offers a 3.5mm wired connection with a high-resolution bypass option. According to EarFun CEO White Wang, the development of the Wave Pro X was driven by a desire to enhance sound quality, noise cancellation, comfort, connectivity, and battery life, rather than concentrating on a single aspect.
In addition to the Wave Pro X, EarFun provided a glimpse of its forthcoming Air Pro 5 true wireless earbuds. These earbuds are expected to come with improved sound tuning, active noise cancellation, and adaptive processing capabilities. EarFun has collaborated with engineers from Bose Corporation’s Audio Technology division for acoustic engineering services, including ANC modelling, tuning, and validation. More details regarding specifications and availability for the Air Pro 5 are anticipated soon.
The EarFun Wave Pro X headphones are now available for purchase worldwide through EarFun’s official website and Amazon. The pricing is set at €149.99 in Europe, $129.99 in the United States, and £119.99 in the United Kingdom.
